PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine needle suitable to a high work speed. SOLUTION: A shaft part 2 is provided in a tightened part, and this shaft part 2 is extended along a center axial line 4 at least partially to reach a tip end part 3, and a needle hole 18 opened laterally to the center axial line 4 is provided. This needle hole 18 is parted by two needle hole walls disposed at an interval from each other, and an inwardly curved part 26 is provided at least in one of them. In this inwardly curved part 26, the needle hole wall is dug in the direction of the center axial line 4 at least sectionally to the reference of an opened direction of the needle hole 18.
