<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make efficient an information providing process which is performed at a request for information acquisition. SOLUTION: A WWW server 14 pairs and registers process result of a CGI program started at the information acquisition request, request specification information (CGI program and parameter value) specified in the information acquisition request and the time when the process result is obtained in a request result correspondence table 16. Then when the information acquisition request wherein the same request specification information as the information registered in the table 16 is designed is sent, the WWW server 14 takes the corresponding process result out of the table 16 without starting the corresponding CGI program and sends it to a client 11. Here, when a data file 17 that the CGI program uses for the process is updated, the process result obtained by the execution of the CGI program is sent to the client 11 and the request result corresponding table 16 is updated with the process result.</p> |
