OPTICAL CONNECTOR HOLDING JIG FOR OPTICAL CONNECTOR POLISHING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector holding jig for an optical connector polishing device for preventing the deterioration of the positioning precision of an optical connector due to polishing abrasive grains or ferrule polishing trash generated in polishing. SOLUTION: An optical connector holding jig 4B is provided above a polishing machine for an optical connector polishing device. A recess 16 is formed on the side face of a jig body 13 of the optical connector holding jig 4B for storing an optical connector. A trash escape groove 18 is formed in the corner of the recess 16 for escaping polishing abrasive grains or ferrule polishing trash generated in polishing. During polishing, the polishing trash or others enters into the trash escape groove 18 whereby the optical connector can be kept in good positioning precision for a long time without deterioration of dimensional and configurational precision of the recess 18.
