PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating material that shows excellent curtain stability on the curtain coating, and can stably and efficiently give coated products, when the coating material is combined with a curtain coater. SOLUTION: This is polyester resin coating material and is useful as a coating material for a curtain coater with high curtain stability satisfying the following conditions (a), (b) and (c): a) The number-average molecular weight of the polyester resin included in the coating material is >=10,000; b)Its surface tension is <=0.033 N/m; and c) The viscosity is 30-300 seconds. In this coating material, components other than a binder resin + pigments + a solvent is preferably <=1 wt.%.
