<p>A composite film for capacitors comprising a biaxially-oriented film containing a main polymer component of polyethlene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate and a conductive metallic film thereon. The number of flyspecks having an average diameter of 60 νm or more and present on the biaxially-oriented film is 20/m2 or less. The composite film is such that the number of portions (insulation defects) not satisfying the requirement of dielectric breakdown voltage of 200 V/νm is 20/m2 or less biaxially-oriented film. Thus, a high-quality composite film for capacitors having excellent physical characteristics and electrical characteristics is provided, and a very thin biaxially-oriented film excellent in processability and surface characteristic and used for such a composite film is also provided.</p> |
