PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus for a washing machine wherein consumption of foamed resins can be reduced and foamed resins can be easily dumped after being unpackackaged, and when the packaging apparatus is dragged, the amount of waste resin is small, and further the apparatus can be easily assembled and the surface of the washing machine is not injured by being rubbed. SOLUTION: A lower packaging body 49 located below a washing machine comprises a bottom plate 53, leg receiving members 54 which are provided on the plate 53 to separately receive legs of the machine by means of a recess 58, a fixing member 55 which is provided between the members 54 so as to be located on the plate 53, and an enclosing tool supporting member 56 which is fixed by the member 55 and provided so as to be spaced apart from the members 54 on the plate 53 to support an enclosing tool for preventing a water tank of the machine from vibrating.
