<p>An access platform assembly (1) capable of being assembled, dismantled, and positioned into a required working position by a single operator. The assembly includes as separate storable components, an access platform unit (2), two lengthways adjustable support leg assemblies (3A, 3B) each including bracing means (44A, 44B, 45) for maintaining the leg assemblies in side by side relationship when supporting the access platform unit (2), a stay arrangement (4A, 4B) for each support leg assembly and a safety frame (5, 6) with an entrance gate (7; 60, 61) for the platform unit when in use. The assembly of the access platform assembly includes the steps of connecting the upper ends of the leg assemblies and the platform stays (49, 49B) to the access platform unit (2), setting the leg assemblies bracing means (44A, 44B, 45) into their operative positions, positioning the so far assembled assembly to a leaning position against an upright surface (W), adjusting the overall height of the platform assembly (1), and mounting a safety frame (5, 6, 7) (5, 6, 61, 62) to the support platform unit (2).</p> |
