PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain calcium silicate hardened body having high strength, excellent durability, low water absorption, excellent weather resistance and dimensional stability and yet excellent processability such as surface smoothness, sawing properties, etc., suitable as a building material in spite of having lightweight of >=0.30 and <0.7 bulk specific gravity. SOLUTION: This hardened body has a relation of a ratio (Ib/Ia) of (220) diffraction peak intensity Ib of tobermorite to the minimum value Ia of diffraction intensity of >=3 in an angle region laid between two diffraction lines (220) and (222) of tobermorite observed in powder X-ray diffraction, has >=0.3 and <0.7 bulk specific gravity and substantially no foams with >200μm maximum diameter and contains 0.1-3.0 wt.% of a water-repellent substance. |
