PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high strength lightweight concrete which has excellent pump-conveyable properties while using artificial lightweight aggregate without allowing it to absorb water beforehand and can be used as a material for civil engineering construction. SOLUTION: This lightweight concrete composition contains artificial lightweight coarse aggregate which is used without allowing it to absorb water beforehand and has a specific gravity in absolute dry condition of <=1.5 and a <=5 wt.% water absorption value, and has a 320-550 kg/m3 unit cement content and a 300-400 L/m3 unit volume of the above coarse aggregate. Fresh concrete formed from the concrete composition has a >=40 cm slump flow value when conveyed by a pump and has such flowability that the fresh concrete can be pump-conveyed while flowing over a reference height. |
