PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor and an air conditioner capable of executing the operation of high efficiency in every operating condition. SOLUTION: This scroll compressor comprises an operating condition detecting part 27 for detecting an operating condition, a variable speed motor 28, a control part 26, and an unload mechanism 12 as a capacity control means. The operation of the unload mechanism 12 and the rotational frequency of the motor 28 are controlled by the control part 26 on the basis of the operating condition detected by the operating condition detecting part 27. This air conditioner comprises the scroll compressor, a condenser 23, an expansion valve 24 and an evaporator 25.
