PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement gas compressor capable of quickly recovering the fluctuation of the inlet pressure of a refrigerant or a temperature inside a cabin relating to the inlet pressure without delay to provide the comfortable air conditioning. SOLUTION: The force added to a driving shaft 12 is the spring force Fs, the control pressure Pc, the inlet pressure Ps, and the discharge pressure Pd, the spring force Fs and the control pressure Pc are made to act in the direction same as the NIN moving direction of the driving shaft 12, and the inlet pressure Ps and the discharge pressure Pd are made to act in the MAX moving direction of the driving shaft 12. Whereby the driving shaft can be slid in the MIN moving direction approximately simultaneously with the lowering of the inlet pressure Ps, when the inlet pressure Ps is lowered, and the inlet pressure Ps can be set and changed to an arbitrary value by adjusting an opening of the control valve 13 producing the control pressure Pc.
