PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fan having a modern and simple shape, not becoming obstructive, and capable of satisfactorily circulating or blowing air in a room. SOLUTION: This electric fan comprises a motor 9 and a fan 7 driven by the motor stored in a case-shaped body. Air is blown from a grilled opening parts provided in the body 1. The body 1 comprises a semi-spherical upper member 11 and a lower member 12, and circular grills 3, 4, and 5 are fitted rotatably in the circular opening parts 13, 14, and 15 formed in the semi- spherical surface of the upper member 11. Suction grill parts 6 are provided in suction opening parts 16 formed in the lower member 12. The spherical body 1 is placed swingably on a frame 2. Arc fins are disposed aslant in the annular frames of the circular grills 3, 4, and 5 at specified intervals and so that the tip parts thereof are positioned generally along the spherical surface of the spherical body.
