PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device having high memory efficiency in a nonvolatile memory. SOLUTION: The address of a memory Mk in an EEPROM 19 is read in a step 310. A starter total number of drive times i is obtained in a step 320. The starter total number of drive times i is decided for whether not it is [g*p] or more in a step 330. By leading of a lower position word to a number of write security times, for moving a memory of the lower position word writing a data in the next, [p] is counted up on a step 340. A value equivalent to an upper position part of the starter total number of drive times i is written in a memory M0 in a step 350. A value equivalent to a lower position part of the starter total number of drive times i is written in a memory Mp of the address [p] in a step 360. The value of [p] is written in a memory Mk of the EEPROM 19 in a step 370.
