PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a patterned member on which embroidered seams are exposed, by cutting with laser beams a fabric on whose surface the embroidered seams are exposed and whose back surface has a thermoplastic adhesive, wherein the fabric can be cut with the laser beams, while fusing the peripheries of the patterns without collapsing fine patterns and treating the fray of the yarns. SOLUTION: This method for producing a pattered member on which embroidered seams are exposed, characterized by disposing an air-discharging means on the lower side of a porous fabric receiver, disposing a laser device movable in the direction of X-Y above the fabric receiver, loading on the fabric receiver a thermally fusible and noninflammable fabric on whose surface embroidered seams are exposed and on whose back surface a thermoplastic adhesive is coated, and then applying laser beams to the fabric to cut the fabric in a desired patterned shape, while blowing cold air on the cut portions and fixing the fabric to the fabric receiver by a negative pressure.
