ELECTRIC CONNECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive electric connection between a contact layer including a noble metal arranged on a ceramic substrate and a belt-shaped conductive body wherein crack does not develop after the time elapses. SOLUTION: The electric connection between the belt-shaped conductive body and the contact layer is attained by a gap welding to form the electric contact in a way that the belt-shaped conductive body has at least two layers whose thickness and specific electric resistance are different from each other, and the material of a first layer facing to the contact layer has a specific electric resistance lower than that of the other layer. The specific advantage derived from the electric connection is that the total thickness of the belt-shaped conductive body (which may be formed in wire-shape) scarcely affects the weldability.
