PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter to which identification codes of setting information are totally entered as prescribed setting items and to provide a setting method in the transmitter. SOLUTION: The transmitter 1 consists of a display section 5 that displays a setting item being an entry area of an identification code of setting information, each setting item table that stores the identification code in cross-reference with the setting information, an entry section 3 that enters the identification code to the setting item displayed on the display section 5, a control section 2 that generates the setting information on the basis of the identification code stored in the setting item table, and a storage section 6 that stores the setting information generated by the control section 2.
