PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact range-finder of a camera by which highly accurate range-finding is performed under the condition of a wide range. SOLUTION: This range-finder of the camera is provided with an integration type photodetecting means 5 to output a light receiving signal by receiving subject light and a stationary light removing means 4 to remove a stationary light component from the output signal of the integration type photodetecting means 5, and functions as the range-finder of an active system by operating the stationary light removing means 4 and functions as the range-finder of a passive system by making the stationary light removing means 4 unoperated, and when it functions as the range-finder of the active system, it alternatively uses a first illuminating means 2 consisting of a stroboscope or the like to illuminate the wide range including a photographing range and a second illuminating means 3 consisting of an infrared ray LED or the like to illuminate a spot-like range within the photographing range as an illuminating means. |
