MOVING WALK OF VARIABLE SPEED TYPE AND ITS HANDRAIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability by reducing the number of part items constitut ing a moving walk of a variable speed type. SOLUTION: This moving walk comprises an extending/contracting link mechanism 4a moving a pallet at a first speed in a spot of getting on also accelerating this pallet to a second speed higher than the first speed, a high speed chain 3 receiving the pallet accelerated to this second speed from the extending/contracting link mechanism 4a to move the pallet at this second speed, and an extending/contracting link mechanism 4b receiving the pallet moved at the second speed from the high speed chain 3 to decelerate the pallet to a third speed lower than the second speed during the time the pallet is moved to a spot of getting off.
