PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing coated paper that can produce the coated paper having excellent moisture proof properties in no need of an apparatus for heated air drying and for ventilation of the solvent. SOLUTION: The substrate sheet paper of moisture permeability is coated on at least one face characteristically with a moisture-curing type hot melt coating agent mainly comprising a urethane prepolymer of the reaction product between a polyol having the basic skeleton constituted with a hydrocarbon and a polyisocyanate and is solid at room temperature whereby the objective coated paper is obtained.
