PURPOSE: A pickup device for cassette is provided to sense correctly a pickup state of a cassette by using a sensor. CONSTITUTION: A main body unit is formed with a main body for mounting a multitude of device, an arm combination hole combined with an arm of a robot, and a combination hole combined with a combination portion(27). A reception slot(31) has an upper face(32), a lower face(33), and an intermediate portion(35). A projection(37) is formed at an end portion of the reception slot(31) in order to prevent separation of an extended flange(12) of a cassette(11). A reception portion is formed on a back sidewall of the reception slot(31). A contact sensor member is installed on the reception portion. The contact sensor member is formed with a sensor body(41) having a sense tip(42) and a contact terminal(43). A control portion is connected with the sensor body(41).
