PURPOSE: An acceleration cable having a damping unit in a vehicle is provided to shut off vibration and noise from an engine, and to prevent noise through an acceleration cable to a driver's seat by connecting with cutting and separating the acceleration cable. CONSTITUTION: A vibration damping device is composed of a protection member(1) having protection rings(1a',1b') connecting an acceleration cable(a) of a driver's seat and an acceleration cable(a') of an engine room, a plastic holder cap(1a) and a cover cam(1b); and a moving member(2) inserted to the protection member to reciprocate in the stroke range of the protection member by the acceleration cable. Vibration and noise are absorbed through a connecting member combined with the cable of the engine room, the moving member and a connecting member connected to the cable of the accelerator in transmitting vibration and noise from the engine through the cable. Noise and vibration are shut off efficiently with absorbing in three steps and with connecting in cutting and separating the acceleration cable.
