PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noises caused by the motion of a pressing body for pressing a worm to a worm wheel and the motion of a shaft part abutting on the pressing body. SOLUTION: This electric steering system is provided with a pressing body 9 movable in the radial direction of a shaft part 71a of a worm 71 interlocked with the rotation of a steering assist motor 6, to press the worm 71 toward a worm wheel 72. The pressing body 9 is provided with an abutting part of V-shape abutting on two circumferential positions of the shaft part 71a, and an annular elastic body 13 for limiting the movement of the pressing body 9 in a direction intersecting the moving direction. |
