PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having a laminated backlight assembly to be assembled while the component elements existing in the lowermost part to the component elements existing in the uppermost part are successively laminated and an assembling method which improves assembling characteristics, facilitates assembly and can drastically shorten the time for assembly. SOLUTION: Laminated lamp assemblies 200 are installed oppositely at both ends within a molded frame 100 in which a housing space is formed. A reflecting plate 300, a light transmission plate 400 and plural sheets of diffusion sheets 500 are set, successively from the base surface of the corresponding molded frame 100, between the laminated lamp assemblies 200, by which the laminated backlight assembly unit 600 is constituted.
