PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for separating a solid material, which is structured to prevent the clogging of a lower part discharge pipe of a liquid cyclone. SOLUTION: The unit for separating the solid material having the lower part discharge pipe 13 of the liquid cyclone and a separated material storage vessel 30 and a separated material discharge means 40 which are connected airtightly to each other is provided with a lower part discharge pipe clogging preventing unit 20 having a penetrating body 21 for stripping the solid material stuck on the inside of the lower part discharge pipe by reciprocatively moving in the lower part discharge pipe 13.
