摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an oxide catalyst comprising Nb, and one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Mo, V, and Sb and Te is provided, and a method for manufacturing methacrylonitrile or methacrylic acid comprising ammoxidation or oxidation of propane or isobutane in the gas phase under the oxide catalyst is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing an oxide catalyst used in catalytic oxidation or ammoxidation of propane or isobutane in the gas phase, the method is characterized in that the oxide catalyst has a composition represented in the following chemical formula 1: Mo1.0VaXbNbcZdOn where X is one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Sb and Te, Z is one or more elements selected from the group consisting of W, Cr, Ti, Al, Ta, Zr, Hf, Mn, Re, Fe, Ru, Co, Rh, Ni, Pd, Pt, Zn, B, Ga, In, Ge, Sn, P, Pb, Bi, Y, rare earth elements and alkali earth metals, and a, b, c, d and n are respective atomic ratios of V, X, Nb, Z and O for Mo, wherein 0.01 <= a <= 100; 0.01 <= b <= 100; 0.01 <= c <= 100; 0 <= d <= 100; and n is a number in which atoms of other elements are determined by a necessary condition, the method comprises manufacturing a mixture of aqueous raw materials containing element compounds of compositions of the chemical formula 1, and drying and calcining the mixture of the aqueous raw materials, and at least a part of a Nb as one compound among the element compounds in the mixture of the aqueous raw materials exists in a complexing agent form containing a compound with hydroxyl groups bonded to oxygen or carbon atoms and a complex form with the complexing agent.
