PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial material, antibacterial composite material, antibacterial composition, antibacterial coating material and antibacterial resin formed material exhibiting a stable antibacterial effect, and a method for producing them hardly causing an environmental pollution even on eluting them into a soil environment. SOLUTION: This antibacterial composite material is obtained by dissolving silver acetate, adding any one of the combinations of Na2SO3.7H2O with Na2 S2O3.5H2O or K2SO3 with K2S2O3 successively into the obtained solution to form a silver thiosulfate complex solution, adding calcium oxide for performing an adsorption, impregnation and drying or coating the surface of it.
