PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of cooling a paper container with a plug for liquid in a filling line wherein no cooling water enters between a spout and a cap of the plug and remains there in a cooling process after box-making, hot-filling and sealing on the filling line. SOLUTION: In the filling line for hot-filling contents, after a box is made, filled with the contents and sealed, a plug section of the paper container for liquid is first cooled by an air spot cooler and then the entire container is cooled by a cooling water shower.
