PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently preventing the liquefaction of the ground without causing subsidence of ground settlement at a low cost. SOLUTION: The ground in an objective area to prevent the liquefaction is surrounded by cut-off walls 11, ground water is pumped therefrom, once the ground water level is lowered, and after the increase of vertical effective overburden pressure of the ground in the objective area is experienced to the same ground, the pumping ground water is stopped to return the ground water level to the flexible ground water level.
