PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave filter provided with a single phase unidirectional converter that can considerably reduce ripples. SOLUTION: Assuming that a propagation direction of a surface acoustic wave is made to the right in Fig., a 1st set D consists of an electrode finger 21 and electrode fingers 14, 16 located at a center interval of 3λ/8 and 5λ/8 from the electrode finger 21 in a direction opposite to the propagation direction of the surface acoustic wave respectively, a 2nd set E consists of electrode fingers 22, 15, 20 respectively arranged at a center interval of 10λ/8, 13λ8, and 15λ/8 from the electrode finger 21 in the propagation direction of the surface acoustic wave, and a 3rd set F consists of 3 electrode fingers 17, 18, 19 respectively arranged at a center interval of 3λ/8, 5λ/8, and 7λ/8 from the electrode finger 21 in the propagation direction of the surface acoustic wave.
