摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ease a shift shock without making an in-wheel transmission multi- stage in a control device for the in-wheel transmission comprising a stage transmission for transmitting power from each electric motor to each wheel of an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: The shift of the in-wheel transmission of each wheel is carried out with time difference. The change of acceleration G caused by the shift occurs dispersedly in time to ease the shift shock compared to the case of simultaneously shifting four wheels. To prevent straight advancing ability from being impaired by the unbalance of lateral driving force of a vehicle caused by a lowering of wheel driving force during the shift, the output of the electric motor for driving the other wheel on the same right or left side as the wheel under the shift of the in-wheel transmission is increased. The shift of the in- wheel transmission of one wheel each on both right and left sides, that is, two wheels in total, may be carried out simultaneously, and then the shift of the in-wheel transmissions of two remaining wheels may be simultaneously carried out.
