PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric which is used for non-coated air bags, can retain mechanical characteristics necessary as the woven fabric for the air bags, enables the production of lightweight, compact and low gas permeable air bags, has excellent profitability, and has a soft hand. SOLUTION: This woven fabric which is used for the non-coated air bags, is produced by production method at least having a weaving process, a hot water shrinking process and a drying finishing process, wherein the drying finishing process is carried out at multi-stages, satisfies T1<T2 (T1 is the set temperature of the first stage; T2 is the set temperature of the second stage) and has a tension control process between the first stage and the second stage, and has characteristics satisfying the following expressions. (1) ST5%(warp)+ST 5%(weft)<=1.2 g/d, (2) AP<=0.5 cc/cm2/sec., (3) W<=205 g/cm2, (4) S(warp)+ S(weft)<=220 mm, (5) T<=0.30 mm.
