PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a copolyester for PET bottles having low acetaldehyde content, in which production amount of acetaldehyde in subsidiary reaction by thermal decomposition in blow molding process of PET bottle is decreased, by adding an adequate amount of a modifier to PET polymer. SOLUTION: The modifier added contains a stabilizer and a primary antioxidant and the stabilizer is an inorganic phosphorus compound and the stabilizer is added in an amount of 0.003-0.5 wt.% based on total weight of the copolyester polymer and the primary antioxidant is a hindered phenol type antioxidant having Ca+2 and the antioxidant is added in an amount of 0.005-5.0 wt.% based on total weight of the copolyester polymer. |
