RICE COOKER WITH DEODORIZING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep for long period the deodorizing performance of a deodorizing device for decomposing and removing unpleasant odor generated from cooked rice during warming it in a rice cooker. SOLUTION: This rice cooker is provided with a deodorizing device 17 arranged inside of a lid 12 constituting the rice cooker, and the deodorizing device 17 is provided with a suction port valve 23 for controlling the suction of gas including odor generated from the cooked rice and a discharging port valve 24 for controlling the discharging of the deodorized gas to a pot 13. The valve 23 and the valve 24 are operated for allowing the gas to flow in and out during warming the cooked rice. By making the valve 23 and the valve 24 operate only during warming the cooked rice, sticky juice generated during rice cooking is prevented from entering the inside of the device 17. Thus, the deterioration of deodorizing performance is prevented and excellent deodorizing performance is kept through a long period.
