REMEDY FOR DIABETIC COMPLICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remedy for diabetic complication, especially useful as a diabetic neuropathy improver and obtained from the fact that a long chain alcohol derivative of cyclohexenone inhibits the decrease of peripheral nerve conduction velocity in diabetic model animals and improves a hypofunction of their urinary bladders. SOLUTION: This remedy for diabetic complication contains the long chain alcohol derivative of cyclohexenone expressed by the general formula (I) (R1, R2, and R3 are each H or methyl; and X is a 10-28C alkylene or alkenylene or which the chain may be straight or branched) as an active ingredient.
