PURPOSE: A thin film transistor(TFT) pixel unit for driving an organic electroluminescent display device is provided to increase the aperture rate and the convenience of controlling the gray scale by parallel and lengthy arranging a gate electrode of the TFT along a wiring around a pixel to form a channel. CONSTITUTION: A gate electrode(5) of a driving TFT is parallel and lengthy disposed along a wiring(7) around a pixel and drives an electroluminescent device pixel unit. By arranging the gate electrode(5) in such a manner, a width-length ratio of the gate electrode(5) is decreased. Maintaining the width-length ratio with a small value, an applied current(Id) is decreased so that a voltage(Vgs) is increased. Since the voltage(Vgs) is high, the gray scale is easily controlled.
