PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an accident such that a hone makes contact with a human body, burn it or break the body tissue in a washing device provided with the ultrasonically vibrating hone. SOLUTION: This washing device 10 comprises an ultrasonic generating means 20 and the hone 23 for amplifying the generated ultrasonic wave. A pressure sensing means 40 for sending the pressure applied from the direction where laundry 60 is present is provided on a guard part 14 surrounding the hone 23. When the pressure sensed by the pressure sensing means 40 exceeds a set value, the ultrasonic generation by the ultrasonic generating means 20 is stopped or reduced in output. When the pressure is recovered lower than the set value after the stop or reduction in output of the ultrasonic generating means 20, the output of the ultrasonic generating means 20 is returned to the original with a time-lag. A saddle 30 for supporting the laundry 60 is arranged in the position opposite to the tip 28 of the tone 23.
