<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selective reflection film without uneven reflectance and chrominance non-uniformity of selectively reflected light and a liquid crystal color filter containing the same. SOLUTION: The selective reflection film is constructed by containing an organic substance with a helical structure of which the helical axis is fixed by polymerization, cross-linking or transition into a vitreous state in the aligned state in parallel with the normal and exhibits selective reflection ranging from the ultraviolet rays to the infrared rays region. In the selective reflection film the optical path length of the film thickness difference between the thickest part and the thinnest part is a half of the selective reflection wavelength or less. The optical path lengths of the film thickness differences are preferably a quarter of the selective reflection wavelength.</p> |
