PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile terminal which reduces the cost of itself by using a common detecting means for toner and ink and further reduces a limit in the place to install the detecting means. SOLUTION: This facsimile terminal has an LBP recording part (electrophotographic recording means) A, an ink jet recording part (ink jet recording means) B, a means for generating a prescribed pattern, a means for adding the prescribed pattern to the rear end of a recorded image, and a means for detecting the prescribed pattern. In the case of recording by both recording means, recorded paper is ejected from the same eject port. At the same time, the facsimile terminal is configured so that the prescribed pattern detecting means is located on the same paper eject path. When recording an image, the prescribed pattern is added and corresponding to the result of the prescribed pattern, the presence/absence of toner and ink in the recording means is decided. |
