SIGNAL-PROCESSING METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC SOMATOMETRY EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the precision and reliability of a phase tracking method used in ultrasonic somatometry. SOLUTION: In ultrasonic somatometry, a least square method with a restriction is introduced to measure a minute vibration of a blood vessel and a heart wall. When the tracking is carried out by dertermining an instant-position using the amplitude and phase of a detected wave output signal, variation in the phase is evaluated and a mistaken tracking is prevented by removing a point where the interference of a reception signal occurs.
