PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluorescent material having an excellent luminous brightness which can give a good panel brightness even for a PDP the cell structure of which is fine applicable to a high vision, to provide a manufacturing method therefor, and to provide a PDP display device using the fluorescent material. SOLUTION: In the annealing step for making the fluorescent material, the annealing treatment is conducted while rolling the fluorescent material.
