PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join a web coil while keeping a core as it is without applying special marks on a winding start and a winding end of the web coil, and performing a special device such as projecting a rewinding end part to the external from the core. SOLUTION: A terminal end of the present web during feeding is detected by a web end sensor 1, a stop position of the present web is detected by a present web positioning sensor 2 to stop the present web after the detection of the terminal end of the present web, and the present web is cut from a joint position. On the other hand, a stop position of a next web fed along the terminal end part of the present web is detected by a next web positioning sensor 3 to stop the next web, the next web is cut at the joint position, and an adhesive tape is applied to both webs in a condition that joining positions of the present web and the next web are abutted on each other to join the both webs.
