PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery having a high battery performance without increasing the inner resistance of the battery even if pasted area of pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is made larger. SOLUTION: In the battery wherein an electrode body in which a positive plate and a negative plate 1 are wound via a separator 3 to form a spiral electrode is loaded to a sheath can, the negative plate 2 of the outmost periphery of the spiral electrode is fixed by a conductive tape 4b.
