PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain an attitude of a cutting tool when mounting and dismounting the cutting tool. SOLUTION: A cylindrical portion 3 is provided at a root end side of the cutting tool 1. Recessed portions 16 and grooves 17 extending from the recessed portions 16 toward the root end side are formed on the outer peripheral surface 3a of the cylindrical portion 3. A main spindle 6 for the tool is provided with engaging portions 21 on the internal peripheral surface 7a of a tapered bore 7 (tool mounting bore), which engaging portions 21 is able to project and retract its tip end so as to engage with the recessed portions 16.
