PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that enhances its installation workability, warrants required strength in this case and easily revises an outer package component. SOLUTION: Installation of fixing purpose mounts 8, 9 are placed respectively to two opposite side faces of an outer package, e.g. an upper face and a lower face in the image pickup device 1 so as to allow a user to select either of the mounts depending on an operating state thereby eliminating the need for revision of a position of a mount metallic fixture. Further, a nut 24N configuring each mount is fitted to an outer package component, and a part 25 of the outer package component to which the nut is fitted is configured to be fitted in recessed part 16L, 18U formed to chassis 16, 18 to ensure the strength at working, the circuit components are placed in the chassis and the outer package component is removably fitted to the chassis to cope with a design change of the outer package component.
