PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resting footstep for a driver having stretchable legs with his feet put on both sides of a brake pedal on a driver's seat of an automatic vehicle, when parked, which is combined with a legged footstep usable on a front passenger's seat by applying a leg on the bottom face of the footstep. SOLUTION: The detachable driver's-seat resting footstep comprises a cutout ranging from a front part to a lower part, in which the brake pedal and a bracket are inserted, a stopper provided on the inner face of a cover supported on the inclined surface of the brake pedal stored in the cover, and footstep portions provided on both sides of the cover located on both right and left sides of the brake pedal. A heel upper part and an Achillis tendon lower part are put on the footstep portions and then the leg can be stretched. The cover is in a cylindrical form or in other selective forms. The foldable and expandable leg is fixed to the bottom face of the footstep to form the legged footstep also usable on the passenger's seat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
