PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving dehumidifying efficiency and suppressing changes in room temperature. SOLUTION: A part functioning as an evaporator at the time of dehumidifying operation is divided into a first evaporator 4 and a second evaporator 2 from an interior expansion valve 8 side, and controlled so as to obtain a specified heating degree at an outlet of the first evaporator 4. In that case, a part of the second evaporator 2 is not actually functioned as a heat exchanger, so that vaporization is conducted by a more smaller sized evaporator. Therefore, the evaporating temperature of coolant comes to be low and a sensible heat rate SHF comes to be small, so that efficient dehumidifying operation is conducted, and required reheating performance is sufficiently ensured by a part of a reheating heat exchanger 3 in an upstream side of the interior expansion valve 8 without increasing the size of an interior heat exchanger 1.
