PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an automobile capable of preventing water leakage to the inner side of a cabin without a non-drying sealer. SOLUTION: This weather strip 10 installed on a flange 7 of a vehicle body opening edge part 6 and sealing between the flange 7 and an edge part of a door 2 is constituted by connecting terminals of extrusion molded parts 14 with a die molded part 12. The weather strip is provided with an installation base part 22 having a cross section in a U-shape and installed on the flange 7, and a sealing part 26 protruding from the installation base part and abutting onto the door 2. In the extrusion molded part 14, a plurality of holding lips 24 for holding the flange 7 are protrudingly formed on confronting side surfaces inside the U-shaped of the installation base part 22. In a part 16 of the extrusion molded part adjacent to the die molded part, the holding lip 24a on an outer side of the cabin regarding the flange 7 is tilted downward by die molding.
