<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) switching device for controlling the occurrence of delay and discard of cells and for assuring service quality. <P>SOLUTION: An ATM cell selection part 2 selects a specific VC (virtual channel) from a VPI/VCI (virtual path identifier/virtual channel identifier) included in an ATM cell inputted from an ATM cell input part 1 on the basis of the registration contents of a specific VC registration part 10 when congestion states of an inputted cell buffer 3 and an outputted cell buffer 5 are detected by a cell buffer congestion monitoring part 9. A routing control part 8 restores the specific VC inputted from the ATM cell selection part 2 to a flow of an IP packet, after that routes it and makes it into the ATM cell again. An output control part 6 controls output operations of ATM cells from an output cell buffer part 5 and the routing control part 8 on the basis of the registration contents of an output operation control parameter information registration part 11 and an ATM cell output part 7 outputs the ATM cells to an ATM interface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
