PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image print system having excellent and easy operability and an excellent sense of use. SOLUTION: The image print system comprises an electronic camera 10 provided with: a first connection means 34 for connecting an image printer 50 to the electronic camera; a recording medium 33 for recording image data; a development means 16 for developing recorded data on the recording medium into print data; data transfer means 33, 55 for transferring the output of the deploy means to the printer; and a secondary battery 37 for supplying power, and the printer provided with: a second connection means 54 for connection to the first connection means; a print engine for printing print data; a power supply means 70 for supplying power to the electronic camera and charging the secondary battery; and a print start switch 67b for generating a start instruction signal for the print operation, and the image print system controls each component section above so that the print data are transferred to the printer when the print start switch is closed depending on the connection state of the first and second connection means, the print engine starts the print operation accordingly, and the charging of the secondary battery is started after the end of the print operation.
