PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for restoring the three-dimensional model of an image for stably acquiring information indicating the positional relation of an object to be photographed from an image photographed from a single point of view and for properly restoring even a part hidden behind another object. SOLUTION: Ridge lines detected from image data by a two-dimensional ridge inputting means 3 are classified by a two-dimensional ridge direction classifying means 4, and the image is divided into a plurality of regions by a two-dimensional polygonal region dividing means 5. Three-dimensional polygonal data generated by a three-dimensional data generating means 7 on the basis of the classification of the ridge lines for each region are deformed by a three-dimensional polygonal data deforming means 8.
